Friendly Visitors is a program of the Deacons Ministry that provides just what it says — a friendly visit— for those who would appreciate such special attention.

The baseline of care includes one visit, one phone call, and one other contact per month, but most of our Friendly Visitors maintain a more regular contact with the persons they visit.

Home Communion is provided for those who cannot participate in the Sacrament in the Sanctuary. This is a particularly meaningful experience for those can no longer attend worship services.

Hospital Visitation occurs routinely at Memorial and Doctor's Hospitals. When we know of persons who are in rehabilitation, they also received regular visits. In addition, each Sunday a Deacon takes some of the flowers that have been in our Sanctuary to each person on our hospital list that day. Contact Rev. Fred Marsh Monday, Wednesday or Friday, or Rev. Phil Bliss Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.

Pastor On Call means that a Pastor can be reached every day, 24 hours a day, even when the office is closed. When the office is closed you can either call the church (924-1323) and follow the instructions or contact Rev. Schaaff directly on her cell phone at 376-5254.

Prayer Requests
Prayer is the link that connects us to the real source of care and support. Special prayer concerns can be shared using the Prayer Request Cards in the pew racks or by contacting Rev. Schaaff directly.

Stephen Ministers provide one-to-one confidential care for those experiencing a time of crisis or some other stressful need. Receiving approximately 50 hours of training in caring skills, a Stephen Minister can be that Christian friend who will support you, listen to you, and offer to pray with you. A Stephen Minister can help you get through a time of hurt, suffering, or overwhelming difficulty.

For more information contact Rev. Ruth Schaaff, 941 924-1323 x 27 or email
