The Contemporary Worship services are held Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. in our Campus Center. They are informal so come in casual dress or whatever puts you in a worshipful mood.

brief history
The Contemporary Worship service began in March of 2000. Rev. Ruth Schaaff, Steve Lenz (Program Director), Mike Bassett (Technical Director), and Susan Laurence (Music Director) now coordinate the planning and implementation of the service.
the garden
The worship team adopted the name The Garden to help bring identity and vision interpretation to contemporary worship at Church of the Palms. The Garden identifies us with growth. This growth is not simply numerical growth, but acknowledges the need to grow in faith. If you are looking for a place to be nurtured in faith and encouraged to serve your neighbor, come visit THE GARDEN.
the music
The music and all our songs are led by our Garden Singers. Although our songs are mostly drawn from popular contemporary music, from time to time you will hear a special jazz version of “Amazing Grace” or a special arrangement of an old gospel hymn like “I'll Fly Away.”
extra seating
If you can't find a empty table or chair when you come to our Campus Center, please be aware that we have a balcony that is available for you. You can access the balcony by taking the hallways—left or right—just to the side of our main entrance.
additional parking
If you have difficulty parking in our main 4-acre lot, there is plenty of parking available just south of our main sanctuary. This nicely-kept grass-parking area can be accessed by entering the Church of the Palms property at the entrance on Lockwood Ridge Road.
