As the daughter of a minister, I grew up in church. I clearly remember the feeling of reverence and the knowledge of the “awesomeness” of God that I experienced in worship. The hymns, stories, Bible verses, and assurance of God's love during my childhood strengthened and encouraged me throughout my college and adult years. It is this message of the love of God that I wish to impart to the children of the church. It will be their joy during good times and their rock during tough times.After graduating from a Canadian college, I taught elementary school for several years before I began my position as Director of Children's Education at Church of the Palms. While serving here, I continued with graduate classes wherever they were offered including Princeton and Columbia which resulted in my status as a Certified Christian Educator, PCUSA. Even after 21+ years of service, I still count it a blessing and a privilege to share such an important message with our precious children.
