About Worship in "The Garden"
Modern Worship - Ancient Truth - Spiritual Growth
The Garden @ Church of the Palms is our modern worship service held at 9:00 Sunday morning in the Campus Center. Our dress is casual but we do not casually worship the Lord. Our philosophy of worship is what we like to call "content driven" worship. In other words, while we are modern in worship style, we believe the God we worship, and his Word, is more important than the way in which we sing or communicate or dress. As a result, we center the entire worship service around the text that is being preached. All songs, prayers, testimonies, as well as the sermon each Sunday morning, will emphasize an important theme or characteristic of what it means to follow Jesus in our world today. Our goal is not to entertain, but to engage people in a conversation with and about God so that they may be watered and nourished in their journeys and in their spiritual growth.
Our prayer is for everyone who comes to The Garden is that they experience God and are inspired to follow him through his Son Jesus. We want The Garden to be a place where seeds are planted among those who are seeking, and where nurture and nourishment by the Holy Spirit are provided for those who are already on the journey.
If you are looking for a place to experience God, to be nurtured in your faith, to be encouraged to serve your neighbor, and to be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, we invite you to come to The Garden!

A Prayer for the Renewal of Our Covenant
I give myself completely to you, God.
Assign me to my place in your creation.
Let me suffer for you.
Give me the work you would have me do.
Give me many tasks
or have me step aside while you call others.
Put me forward or humble me.
Give me riches or let me live in poverty.
I freely give all that I am and all that I have to you.
And now, holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
you are mine and I am yours. So be it.
May this covenant made on earth
continue for all eternity.
