When you arrive at our campus you will immediately see the ample parking available on the northwest and northeast corners of the church property. There is also overflow parking behind the Sanctuary and can be accessed via the south entrance on Lockwood Ridge Road. Click the following link for a map of our campus.

Look for the yellow umbrella located near the Campus Center where a friendly face will greet you and answer any questions you may have. Brochures and publications are also available and will help you discover the great opportunities our Church has to offer.
Ushers are ready to greet you both in the Sanctuary and Campus Center and will happily give you a bulletin and point you to a place to sit. If you need worship aids such as hearing devices, large print bulletins, or packets containing worship activities designed for children, an usher can assist you with these as well.

The Garden @ Church of the Palms
9:00 a.m. on Sundays
in the Campus Center
Modern Worship - Ancient Truth - Spiritual Growth
Our dress is casual but we do not casually worship the Lord. Our philosophy of worship is what we like to call "content driven" worship. In other words, while we are modern in worship style, we believe the God we worship, and his Word, is more important than the way in which we sing or communicate or dress. As a result, we center the entire worship service around the text that is being preached. All songs, prayers, testimonies, as well as the sermon each Sunday morning, will emphasize an important theme or characteristic of what it means to follow Jesus in our world today. Our goal is not to entertain, but to engage people in a conversation with and about God so that they may be watered and nourished in their journeys and in their spiritual growth.

Traditional Worship
9:00 & 11:00 a.m. on Sundays
in the Sanctuary
Streaming Video available for the 9:00 a.m. Service
These services follow a traditional worship order complete with inspirational music, prayer and sermon. The services are prayerfully planned and orchestrated every Sunday and the 9:00 a.m. service is broadcast on Comcast Channel 189 in Sarasota. Communion, also called the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion or The Eucharist, is a time to renew faith and strengthen participants for the duties and privileges of Christian service. In Communion the Bread and Wine represent the sacrifical body and blood of Christ and recall the last meal shared with the Apostles. Together they symbolize the New Covenant between God and all people. Communion is normally held the first Sunday of every month in both the Sanctuary and The Garden.

Sunday Church School for Children
9:00 a.m.
|
Children of all ages are invited to come and grow with us. At Church of the Palms we feel the Sunday Church School is a vital part of a child’s nurture. Children’s faith is formed in worship, hearing Bible stories, reading, singing songs, doing crafts and acting.
Kids in Pre-K and Kindergarten begin in the Chapel with music. A teacher will bring the kids to the Sanctuary for the Children’s Moment. Kids in 1st through 5th grade will begin worship with their families in either the 9:00 a.m. Garden or 9:00 a.m. Traditional service. Kids in the 9:00 a.m. Traditional service will be invited up to the front of the Sanctuary for a Children’s Moment. After the Children’s Moment, the kids will leave the service with their teachers for Sunday school. Kids in the Garden will be picked up by a teacher at about 9:00 a.m. and taken over to the Sanctuary to join the other children.

Sabbath for Students
Sundays - 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. in Room 208/210
God designed the body, mind and soul to need a weekly rest from all activities. Unfortunately, in our fast-paced and competitive culture we push our bodies to exhaustion and neglect our minds and spirits. Sunday Morning Sabbath is a place for you to be refreshed, refocused, and renewed. Come take a break with us and get recharged every week!
