From Your Pastor Nominating Committee

UPDATE

Your Pastor Nominating Committee has completed its work. A new pastor-nominee has been identified, a call has been issued, and it has been accepted. The next steps are approval by the Presbytery and then a Candidating Sunday on which the nominee will be introduced and will preach. Worship on that Sunday will be followed by a Congregational Meeting at which those present will vote to confirm the call. Look for an announcement of the date of that Candidating and Congregational Sunday, soon.

There is little doubt that most everyone at Church of the Palms is looking forward to the day when our new senior pastor is finally presented. You can be assured that those of us on the Pastor Nominating Committee are also anticipating the time when we can introduce our candidate to the whole congregation.
