The purpose of Presbyterian Women
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
  • To nurture our Faith through Prayer and Bible study
  • To support the Mission of the Church worldwide
  • To work for Justice and Peace, and
  • To build an inclusive, caring community of Women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA), and wintnesses to the promise of God's Kingdom.
Who "belongs"?
All women who join Church of the Palms

What is our purpose?
To share our faith in Christ through fellowship, Bible study and service to His world.

How do we do this?
Through Circles, Gatherings, and Mission opportunites.

What is a Circle?
A circle is:

  • Where faith is nurtured through worship, study, fellowship and outreach.
  • Where women are challenged to stretch beyond themselves and reach out to others.
  • Where Christian leadership is born.

What is a Gathering/Special Event?
Gatherings/Special Events are designed for women to meet in fellowship and worship. They give us the opportunity to learn more about our church's projects and missions, hear interesting programs and share refreshments. Programs are varied and designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of women. Reservations are required whenever our gathering/event involves meals; which are publicized well in advance.

What Mission Opportunities?

  • Women are actively involved in a number of local missions and also contribute to global missions. We are interested in giving assistance when and where there is a need within our community.
  • Some members bake cookies and others deliver them to church members who have experienced the death of a loved one. For more information contact the Church office.
  • Through our pledges and offerings we join with other women across the presbyterian Church (USA) to help build schools, hospitals, provide medical care and growth opportunities for women and children worldwide.
