MINISTRIES

Christian Education
The Christian Education department is responsible for the nurture and Christian growth of the whole Church of the Palms family. It functions primarily under four separate committees: Early Childhood Center, Children's Ministry, Student Ministry and Spiritual Formation

Congregational Life
This area coordinates pastoral and programmatic activities designed to meet individual needs and to build a vibrant community life. It includes the Deacons, Food Ministry, Men’s and Women’s groups, Stephen Ministry and the Memorial Garden. It seeks to promote fellowship, spiritual life, prayer and general communication throughout the membership, and is the point of connection for a variety of groups which serve those purposes.

Mission
As people of faith, God commands us throughout scripture to show mercy to others as Christ, through the shedding of his blood, showed mercy to us. Church of the Palms has a heart for mission. Over the years, members of the church’s congregation have been called into service. The church has moved from being one of offering only financial aide to missions to one of mission participation. In addition a strong core of mission minded individuals participate in a variety of mission activities both locally and around the world. See Mission

Worship, Music and the Arts
Worship, Music and Arts at Church of the Palms is a strong and dynamic core of our congregational life. With two traditional and two contemporary services, five choirs, three instrumental groups, three groups of signers, the worship and music ministry is very strong. The worship services are prayerfully planned and orchestrated every Sunday. Almost half of the congregation conversations reported that the Sunday service was what brought them here. Additionally some of the members were first introduced to our church and its worship by the way of TV Ministry. Further the Music Ministry, being a strong and active part of the life of the church, attracted many members to our congregation and connected them with church life. Traditional and Contemporary Worship services provide a choice of worship style which has broadened the group of people attracted to the Palms. See M
