WELCOME

we're so glad you're here

WHO WE ARE

Your days are filled to the brim, more commitments and fewer meaningful relationships. You run faster, stretch further, and for all your effort you often feel depleted rather than full.

Church of the Palms is an oasis in an otherwise chaotic time.

We believe in an active, straightforward faith. No guilt, shame, or convoluted dogma here. We believe, quite simply, that to live by Jesus’ example means that we are called to love one another.

  • To celebrate and utilize each other’s gifts, experience, and knowledge.
  • To create and gather varied and powerful volunteer opportunities that empower each other to create a meaningful impact…a lasting legacy.
  • To support one another’s physical, financial, and emotional growth and wellness.

And we’re all about connection and intentional community...facilitating the development of deep, abiding friendships.

We Love God. We Love Neighbor. And that’s it!

SERVICES

Traditional Service

We have 9am and 11am traditional services. They’re held in the Sanctuary. These two services feature a traditional Presbyterian liturgy. The music is varied and dynamic including a several choirs, a beautiful organ, a grand piano, a handbell choir as well as soloists and guest musicians. You’ll find that many of our families attend the 9am service which includes a children’s moment. The 11am service is quieter and probably less fun for children. You’ll find most people in both of these services dressed in business casual clothes…slacks, collared shirts, casual dresses etc. but you are welcome in whatever you are most comfortable wearing.

Contemporary Service

10am contemporary service. This modern worship is held in the Campus Center. The music is energetic and powerful featuring several instruments and vocalists as well as a compelling worship leader. What’s more it’s not uncommon to find guest musicians…a drumline one Sunday and a brass section the next. This service has a warm, familial feeling to it, and every Sunday there’s a chance to experience God and connect with one another through shared prayers, laughter, art and other creative expressions. Most people attending this service wear casual, comfortable clothing…jeans, shorts, tee-shirts etc. Come as you are.

KIDS

Our celebrated youth and family ministry is bustling on Sunday mornings!

  • KIDS WORSHIP 9:30am
  • SMALL GROUPS 10:15am
  • PARENT PICK-UP 11:00am

If you join us for the 9am, your children will join you in the Sanctuary for the first 15-20 minutes of the service. There are welcome bags on the right (south) side of the main doors to keep them happy and occupied! Children are invited to the front of the Sanctuary for the children’s moment and then are guided to the education building where they join our team of leaders for kid’s worship until 10am.

Should you want to join an adult class or just enjoy hanging out under the oak tree for a while without your kids, there are small groups for children K-5th grade from 10am-11am.

If you join us for the 10am service, children can worship with you, or be dropped off for kid’s worship at 9:30am or someone on staff will gather children from the contemporary service at around 10:15am to join their age appropriate small group.

Programming for youth is on Wednesday nights. Middle and High School age youth are encouraged to attend worship with their parents or their friends on Sunday mornings. If students stay for two hours on Sunday, a class is offered for middle and high school students from 10:15am-11:00am
