It takes dozens of people to create the rich and inviting atmosphere on Sunday mornings that make Church of the Palms so special.
You can serve on our first impressions team, welcoming people as they arrive, and answering questions for those visiting our campus for the first time.
In both the Traditional and Contemporary services you can serve as an usher or greeter. Outside of Sunday morning we also need people to help stuff the pew racks and decorate the worship spaces during the holidays. Throughout the week there are opportunities to support our staff in the front office by working at the front desk or by helping prepare bulk mailing. There are a number of ways you can volunteer with our youth and family ministry, from the nursery, to children’s small groups to the youth group.
We serve hundreds of families through our food pantry and you can play a vital role by preparing bags and/or serving a shift in the pantry. Just next door in the Campus Center over 90 people volunteer to tutor children on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Every week we are able to pour into nearly 150 students…helping them succeed in school. In addition, we have service opportunities to help the homeless, the hungry and the marginalized in our community through community partners like Habitat for Humanity, Brothers and Sisters Doing the Right Thing and The Salvation Army.
Whether it’s packing 10,000 meals in under an hour and a half or helping get supplies to hurricane devastated regions in the Caribbean, Church of the Palms is making a global impact. We are supporting those who are bringing the gospel of Jesus to the far reaches of the world, and we are serving on the ground in partnership with schools and health clinics in Nicaragua and Honduras.
